Araldite DY3601
Araldite DY3601
Difunctional reactive diluent for epoxy resins
Araldite DY 3601 is a long-chained aliphatic diglycidyl ether with low viscosity.
This makes Araldite DY 3601 suitable as a reactive diluent but also as a flexibilizer.
Due to their low molecular weight, reactive diluents have low viscosity. On the other hand
their vapour pressure is higher and their physiological effectiveness greater than in the
case of unmodified epoxy resins.
The incorporation of Araldite DY 3601 has the following effects:
• a fair reduction of viscosity
• a very clear decrease of reactivity
• an improved processability
• a very clear increased flexibility and stone chip resistance
• a clear reduction of hardness and resistance to all chemicals
• a poor warm water resistance.
Therefore, the reactive diluent in the resin component should not exceed 20%.

Araldite MY721
Araldite MY721 is a low viscosity tetrafunctional epoxy resin suitable for high
performance composites applications. When cured with aromatic amine @ 120 °C to
175°C, Araldite® MY 721 provides outstanding performance characteristics at elevated
temperatures. When post-cured @ 200 °C, the system exhibits good properties in
excess of 220°C.

Araldite GY6005
Araldite® GY 6005 Resin is a light colored, medium viscosity, general purpose modified
bisphenol A epoxy resin. It can be cured with a wide variety of hardeners depending on the
application and the desired properties. Araldite® GY 6005 US has a viscosity lower than
Araldite® GY 6010, making it easier to handle without any major reduction of the cured
properties. In addition, its light color makes it particularly suitable for the formulation of high
build clear coatings.
Medium viscosity

Araldite AV1580 with Hardener HV1580
Epoxy Resin Putty
Araldite®AV/HV 1580 GB is an easily worked cold setting two part epoxy resin putty. On curing, the putty providesa tough durable material which is dimensionally stable and resistant to chemical attack. It also forms strong bonds with most structural materials (metals, glass, Plastics, wood, dry concrete, rubber, etc.)
Araldite® AV/HV 1580 GB putty is employed as a general-purpose gap filling material. Besides modeling and gapjoint bonding, the uses of the putty include cable-jointing, the repair of cold/hot water pipes and tanks, the infilling, contouring or balancing of parts subject to high levels of vibration, the encapsulation of small electrical units-and resin tooling, such as in the construction of frame works for Araldite® laminated jigs and fixtures.
Araldite® AV/HV 1580 GB putty has co-efficient of expansion similar to the values for copper and steel. This suitsthe putty for use in electrical equipment operating down to cryogenic temperatures.
The filled putty can be filed sanded and machined.
